This was my first game made in Unity that I finished, really proud of it as it was my first 3D game. I'd been at Uni for a bit studying Game Design and decided to make this during the break. This didn't take too long as it's just a 3D remaster of another game of mine "Basically Warzone". I reused all the assets and ported most of the code over from GML (which is what GameMaker Studio 2 uses) to C# (which is what Unity uses).

I really love this game because of the message it conveys. A lot of my other games have just been silly haha funny games but this is quite a serious game with an important message. I also got to work with Fanamel for the art which was great fun!. This game was just a blast to make. I had just completed The Last of Us Part II and decided I've got to make a "Basically" version of this. I couldn't get nightshift (a mate of mine who lent his voice for "Basically Warzone") to help out with this one as he hadn't completed the game yet. However Vernandez had, so he helped me out once again (another mate of mine who also lent his voice for "Basically Warzone"). I thought this game had the potential to blow up as The Last of Us Part II was still popping off online but oh well, I'm still very happy with how it turned out.

This was the first commercial game that I made so I am extremely proud of it. It isn't the best game as it was made in Clickteam Fusion 2.5 which proved to be a headache late into development. Despite this I think it still turned out alright. Getting to work with Luis for the art was a huge honour for me as I had looked up to him for years. This game was heaps fun to make. Before making this, most of my games were very "gamey" games. I wanted to break out of that and start making wacky and funny games. Inspired by Egoraptor's Awesome parody's which you can check out here, I decided to make a parody game. I had been playing a bunch of Warzone with my buddies nightshift and Vernandez. So after making most of the game, minus the audio, I asked them if they wanted to help out and voice some of the lines. We did it over discord and before you knew it the game was out. What a masterpiece.

I made this while learning how to make dialogue / text box systems. The reason I love this game so much is because of how much it feels like a legit Pokémon game, as well as what I consider a hilarious ending. Like a year after uploading this I noticed that this, along side most of my other games at the time were broken when played on a monitor that wasn't 60hz. The reason being that in Clickteam Fusion there was a v-sync checkbox that I hadn't noticed that tied a lot of things to the monitor's refresh rate. All I need to do to fix this is to open up the project files and untick the box, I'm worried what would happen if I did that though so I've left those games unfixed.

This game's pretty trash not gonna lie. I love what I tried to accomplish with this more than what I actually accomplished. I grew up playing the original Zelda and Bubble Bobble games on the NES so making a little "love letter" type game combining these two was super cool. I wish that I could somehow travel back in time and get myself to play this as a kid. This would've blown my mind.
